Hydrogen peroxide comes in many varieties, for people first looking into the subject it can be pretty daunting with such a large array of strengths available. One of the first things that you need to learn is that not all hydrogen peroxide is suitable for human consumption, when selecting your H2O2 it’s extremely important to make sure you only purchase ‘foodgrade‘ hydrogen peroxide.

3% H2O2: 3% peroxide has many uses, primarily used and a mouthwash & toothpaste substitute when mixed with bicarb this powerful formula goes to work within your mouth removing bacteria from even the hardest to reach areas. 3% H2O2 can also be used to disinfect wounds although this is not as common these days as it once was.

7% & 15% H2O2: Both 7 and 15% peroxide can be used for health purposes but are more commonly used for cleaning around the home. At this percentage H2O2 can easily remove grease and stains around your home as well as being  a great natural disinfectant.

35% H2O2: This is the variety most commonly used during oxygen therapy. 35% H2O2 Is the highest percentage of hydrogen peroxide that can be sold in the UK. When using 35% peroxide you should never drink it neat. Instead it needs to be diluted in water or juice with only a drop or two needed to oxygenate the water.

This should make it somewhat clearer as to the right strength for your needs, if you have any questions please do not hesitate to drop us a comment.
